Rules and Regulations

Alcohol Policy: In keeping with the family environment, excessive use of alcoholic beverages is not tolerated. Violators will be requested to leave the park. Possession or use of illicit drugs is prohibited and will lead to eviction and arrest. Underage drinking is not tolerated.

ATV’s/Gator: We do allow them. However, you are not allowed to ride them around the campground (site to store, etc.). You may ride them in the campground to get to the recreational trail and back only. ATV’s must not be used after 8:00 p.m. Speed limit is 10 M.P.H. quietly, so long as not disturbing anyone else. If you abuse this, you will be asked to remove the vehicle from our location. Campground reserves the right to make exceptions with regard to the Gators, without explanation. Permission must be granted to drive a Gator within the confines of the Campground. If the ATV/Gator does not have proper headlights, operation after Dusk is strictly prohibited.

Bicycles: Riding bicycles after dark is prohibited. All bicyclists must wear a helmet when riding. This is for safety reasons for everyone. We will give your child a verbal warning, then, if it becomes a repeated problem, we will ask your parents to leave the bicycles at home. 

Bird Feeders: Bird Feeders are prohibited. 
 
Boating/Docks: Life vests are required at all times while on the Docks or Boats owned by River Meadow Campground. Waivers must be signed before the use of the dock or boats. Boats/Boat Trailers are NOT to be kept on sites. River Meadow Campground shall be held harmless and assume no liability, implied or otherwise, for use of dock or boats. 

Campsites: River Meadow Campground campsites are designed to accommodate one camping unit at a time. A campsite may have a maximum of 4 people staying overnight on their site. All campers’ vehicles must be parked on their designated sites with vehicle pass visible. Guests must obtain a vehicle pass, and said pass must be placed in a visible location, as well. (No more than two vehicles, other’s go in overflow parking area.) Boat trailers must be parked in overflow parking area. Camper shall keep Camping Unit and Campsite in clean and good condition. 

Campfires: Campfire rings are not to be moved around the site. Fire height is 2 feet maximum. Campers are not to use campfires to burn trash. Campfires must be completely extinguished before retiring for the evening or departing the park. 

Campfire Wood: Due to New Hampshire State Law, campers are prohibited from bringing their own firewood on to River Meadow Campground property. The reason for this new law is to prevent the spreading of harmful insects, state-to-state. Live trees are not to be cut for firewood or any other reason. The campground offers the sale of firewood, and will deliver to your site upon request. 
 
Canopies: Free standing canopies are allowed but tarps strung between trees are not permitted. 

Check-in/Check-out: Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. or after. Check-out time is no later than 11:00 a.m. for Cabins and 12:00 p.m. for RV Rental Sites. Please give us a heads up if you may not be arriving until after 8:00 p.m. We can be flexible, so give us a call the day before, and you might be able to arrive earlier. 

Clotheslines: For the safety of all campers, a temporary clothesline will be allowed between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to dry swimwear/towels only. Serious injuries can result from clotheslines left up after dark. DO NOT tie ropes to trees. 

Fishing: Fishing in either pond on the River Meadow Campground property is prohibited. Fishing is the River is permitted with a license. Fishing Licenses can be purchased in town at the Patten’s Sporting Goods. 

Fireworks: Fireworks are prohibited. 
 
Golf Carts: Campers are allowed Golf Carts in the Campground. Any person operating a Golf Cart within the Campground MUST have a valid Driver’s License, or be accompanied by an Adult with a valid Driver’s License. No persons 16 and under will be allowed to operate a Golf Cart without an adult passenger, whatsoever. Campground Office must have proof of insurance on any Golf Cart operated within the confines of the Campground, as well as a signed Golf Cart Waiver by any persons operating a Golf Cart. No Exceptions! If the Golf Cart does not have proper headlights, operation after Dusk is strictly prohibited. 

Guests: Campers may have guests; however, the guests must register with the office and are subject to an applicable Day and/or Overnight Guest Fee. Campers are responsible for making sure their guests are registered and are responsible for the behavior of their guests. Day guests who have paid the fee are entitled to stay until quiet time takes effect (10 p.m.) Guests are not permitted to bring pets into the park. 

Laundry Room: The coin operated laundry room is located behind Office Building/Restrooms. We do have quarters and detergent/dryer sheets available in the store, during store hours. Do not leave clothing in washing machines unattended, and remove your clothing promptly, as others may be waiting for use. Do not attempt to repair machines personally, please ask office for assistance. 

Lost and Found: Please bring all found items to the Office, and/or notify Office of any lost items. Although Campground is not responsible, we will make every effort to assist in the recovery of lost items. 
 
Improper Behavior: Public display of intoxication, underage drinking, disorderly conduct, fighting or obscene language WILL result in immediate eviction.

Indemnification, Damage and Campground Liability: Camper shall indemnify Campground and shall hold Campground harmless from and against any and all claims, actions, damages, liabilities and expenses, including attorneys’ fees, in connection with any occupant, invitee or guest in, upon or at the Campsite arising out of or caused by the occupancy or use of the Campsite or any part thereof when the same is occasioned, wholly or in part, by an act or omission of Camper, its occupant, invitee or guest including, without limitation, any accident, injury, or damage to any person or property, or by reason of Camper’s breach or default in the performance of Camper’s obligations under this Agreement. If the Campground shall, without fault on its part, be made a party to any litigation commenced by or against Camper, the Camper shall protect and hold the Campground harmless and pay all costs, expenses and attorney’s fees incurred or paid by Campground in connection with such litigation. Camper’s indemnification of Campground under this section shall survive the expiration or termination of this Agreement. Campground shall not be
liable to Camper, and Camper hereby waives all claims against Campground for: Any injury or damage to any person or property in or about the campsite, or any equipment becoming out of repair or for the interruption of electrical service or any other utility service to the Campsite; any act or neglect of Campground or of other campers or occupants or employees in the Campground; or any other things or circumstance whatsoever. All property in or about the Campsite belonging to Camper, its guests or invitees shall be there solely at the risk of Camper. If Campgrounds fails to perform any of Campground’s obligations under this Agreement and, as a consequence, Camper recovers a money judgment against Campground, the judgment shall be satisfied only out of the proceeds of sale (received upon execution of the judgment) of Campgrounds title in the Campground, and no officer or member of Campground shall be personally liable for any deficiency. 

Minors/Parental Responsibility: Campers under the age of 21 will not be allowed to camp without direct adult supervision. Parents will be held responsible for the actions of minor children. Children under the age of 16 years must have adult supervision while in the pool and dock areas. Minors must be on their site and under direct adult supervision by dusk. 
 
Pavilion: If interested in using the Pavilion, please check-in with office. Pavilion is available for rent on dates not otherwise being used for scheduled campground events. 
 
Pets: There is a limit to two pets per campsite. Your guests are not permitted to bring pets into the park. All pets must be kept on a leash and under control of the pet owner at all times. Please dispose of all pet droppings immediately. Please do not tie up pets at site and leave them unattended. Absolutely NO dog pens are conspicuously permitted on campsites. Pets are not permitted in any public buildings, cabins or pool area. Owners are responsible for the actions of their pets. The management reserves the right to refuse dangerous breeds or aggressive pets. Pets that annoy other campers or are deemed a nuisance will be asked to be taken out of the park. River Meadow Campground shall be held harmless and assume no liability, implied or otherwise, for animal bites or injury. All dogs on River Meadow Campground property must have a rabies certificate on file in the office. 

Quiet Time: Quiet time is from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Please show courtesy to your neighbors and respect their privacy. Fires must be out by 11:00 p.m. However, Campground reserves the right to briefly extend Quiet Time as it may pertain to Entertainment provided by Campground for all of its guests. 

Restrooms/Bathhouses: Please be respectful of the restrooms and bathhouses. Help us keep them clean and ready to use by others, by picking up after yourself. Dishes and clothes should not be washed in showers and/or bathroom sinks. Children under 6 years of age must be accompanied by an adult into the restrooms/bathhouses. 

Safety: Safety is the #1 priority of this Campground. All Campers must follow the Rules and Regulations, as well as use common sense. Staff Members conduct periodic patrols, day and night. Decisions of any Staff Member are absolutely final pertaining to noise, campfires and other infringements of the Campground Rules and Regulations. Disrespect of authority, disrespect of property, and disrespect of other Campers is grounds for Camper removal. 

Scooters: Child Scooters are allowed with some restrictions. Child Scooters (regardless of headlights) are prohibited after 7:00 p.m. Campground reserves the right to ban the use of Scooters on Holiday weekends and/or otherwise heavily populated attendance. This decision requires no explanation. Safety is the first priority of River Meadow Campground. 
 
Smoking: Smoking is prohibited in public buildings and cabins. Underage smoking is not tolerated. 

Speed Limit/Vehicle Use: The River Meadow Campground park speed limit is 10 M.P.H. and is strictly enforced. Please pay attention to directional signage and abide one-way roads. Please respect the safety of all campers. If the Vehicle does not have proper headlights, operation after Dusk is strictly prohibited. 

Swimming Pool/Hot Tub/Dock/Pond Area: Pool/Hot Tub hours are as posted. From time to time, Campground may designate special times for Adult Only Swim/Hot Tub use, with advance notice. 

The following rules apply and are strictly enforced:

  • Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an Adult (age 18 or older) at the pool/hot tub areas, dock area and ponds.

  • Children 3 years old and under may not enter the Hot Tub. 

  • Children 4 years old to 14 years old may enter the Hot Tub if accompanied by an Adult (age 18 or older).

  • Hot Tub is for sitting in, not for swimming in!  Be aware of time you are using in Hot Tub; in other words, please share!

  • Swim at your own risk. No lifeguards on duty at the pool/hot tub area, dock area or ponds.

  • No Floats in the Pool. Other Pool Toys are prohibited during busy Pool Times.

  • Swimming at the dock is prohibited.

  • Diving, jumping, pushing in the pool/hot tub is prohibited.

  • Observe and abide by all signs.

  • Absolutely no glass containers permitted in the enclosed pool/hot tub area.

  • Campground reserves the right to temporarily close down the Pool Area as it deems necessary, during a Thunderstorm, whether or not lightning is visual.


Trash: Garbage is not picked up at individual sites. Please dispose of all trash in the dumpster provided at the front area of the park near the office, or in Section 3 beyond the Pond. Do not dispose of hazardous materials in trash containers. Do not bring trash from home or burn trash at your campsite. Trash cans at the bath houses and laundry are for loose trash only, not bagged. 

Vandalism: Vandalism of any kind, in anyway, has a zero tolerance and is grounds for Camper removal from the Campground.
